French Lodge International will advise you of all attractions and activities available on the Garden Route. If you wish, we can draw up a personal itinerary and arrange coach transport. Otherwise we will organise car hire for you to explore the area on your own.
Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Elephant & Buffalo. View the Big Five in a malaria free environment. Other wild animals to be found at the game lodges and ranches near George are cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, springbok, antelope, bontebok and monkey. Crocodiles may be seen at local crocodile farms and there is also a reptile park in the area.

Sun, Sand & Surf
Sunbathe on secluded beaches and swim in invitingly warm water. The unspoiled coast along the Garden Route offers some of the finest surfing and swimming in the world at places like Victoria Bay, Jeffreys Bay and Herolds Bay. Deep sea fishing trips can be organised, or perhaps you would prefer to cast your line from the beach. Canoeing, boating, leisure cruises, skiing – the Garden Route is a paradise for water sports.

At one with nature
Hike through the untamed beauty of the Wilderness Nature Reserve or see the area from horseback. Take a leisurely bike ride along the trails in the forests or go mountain biking in the Outeniqua Mountains. Perhaps you will see a Knysna Loerie flitting through the trees overhead, or spot the Pied Kingfisher. Look out for the whales and dolphins who make this area their home.

Extreme Sports
Are you brave enough to enter a shark cage and see the killers of the deep at close quarters? French Lodge International will arrange a trip to Mossel Bay for you to do this! Paragliding, abseiling, blackwater tubing and quad bike activities can also form part of your itinerary. The truly adventurous can glide from treetop to treetop in the Tsitsikamma Forest.
